Frequently Asked Questions:
How Lab Diamonds are made?
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) lab diamonds are created using a high-tech process that replicates the natural conditions under which diamonds form, just faster and more controlled.
Here’s a step-by-step overview of how they are made:
1. Diamond Seed
The process starts with a thin slice of diamond called a diamond seed, often made of natural or lab-grown diamond.
This seed acts as a foundation for the new diamond to grow.
2. Vacuum Chamber Setup
The seed is placed in a CVD reactor chamber, which is then filled with carbon-rich gases (typically methane and hydrogen).
The chamber is heated to around 800–1200°C.
3. Plasma Activation
A microwave or plasma energy source is introduced to ionize the gas, breaking down methane into carbon atoms.
These carbon atoms settle onto the diamond seed, layer by layer, forming a new diamond crystal.
4. Diamond Growth
Over a few weeks, the diamond grows atom by atom. The environment is tightly controlled for purity and quality.
The result is a rough diamond crystal ready for cutting and polishing.
5. Cutting & Polishing
Just like mined diamonds, CVD diamonds are cut, faceted, and polished by skilled artisans to bring out their fire, brilliance, and clarity.
6 Certification
Finished diamonds are graded and certified by reputed labs like the IGI or GIA, using the same standards as natural diamonds.
Key Benefits of CVD Diamonds:
Ethical & conflict-free
Environmentally friendly
Identical to mined diamonds in appearance and durability
More affordable for the same quality

Taking Care of Jewellery:
Lab Diamond Jewelry Care Guide
Even though lab-grown diamonds are incredibly durable, your jewelry deserves regular care to keep it looking brilliant.
1. Regular Cleaning at Home
Keep your lab diamond jewelry shining with this simple routine:
Soak: In warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 15–20 minutes.
Brush: Gently scrub with a soft-bristled toothbrush, especially behind stones and in crevices.
Rinse: Under lukewarm water to remove soap residue.
Dry: With a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid paper towels which may scratch metal.
2. Everyday Care Tips
Remove jewelry before:
Showering or swimming (chlorine and soaps can dull shine)
Using lotions or perfumes
Heavy work or exercising
Wipe jewelry with a soft cloth after wearing to remove oils or moisture.
3. Storage
Store each piece separately in a fabric-lined box or soft pouch.
Avoid letting jewelry pieces rub together to prevent scratches, especially on metals.
4. Professional Maintenance
Get your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected once or twice a year.
Jewelers can check for loose stones or worn settings to prevent damage or loss.
5. What to Avoid
Harsh chemicals (bleach, acetone, ammonia)
Ultrasonic cleaners at home unless recommended for your specific piece
Abrasive cleaners or rough materials that can scratch the metal.
